Mount Angel Library Art Panels
Mount Angel, Oregon
2001
Mount Angel Abbey Library was designed by Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, one of only two buildings he designed in the United States. The art display panels for the lobby were designed to allow for a variety of angled arrangements, typical of Aalto-designed displays, utilizing an existing ceiling grid. A custom mounting system was designed to allow for easy installation of the panels by two people and includes a unique foot operated wrench.
