William C. Tripp Architect

The Danmoore

Portland, Oregon
2002

This project began as a design consultation for the Portland Development Commission. The original architect had been unsuccessful in obtaining approval from the Portland Design Review Commission for a 12 story transition housing building, located on a prominent downtown site. Included in the analysis were urban design issues, program, structural system, mechanical systems, materials, façade articulation and details. Ultimately we developed an alternative design which was used as the basis for an RFP to select a new architect. The project was successfully completed in 2004.
